Intelligencer* Institute Statement of Mission
The Intelligencer Institute is a non-partisan, non-profit, educational organization that explores the role of individual and institutional
perspective and worldview and it’s impact on private and public discourse.
The anticipated scope of inquiry will be broad and may include the areas of: media, academia, politics, religion, culture and entertainment.
We will work to examine and incorporate a spectrum of knowledge ranging from social psychology, economics and philosophy, into our perspective and commentary.
We will call upon research, critical analysis, logic and common sense to evaluate and spotlight the process where perspective is foundational to how information is given and received.
As an educational institution we will attempt to communicate thru a wide variety of possible means, for example; writings, teaching, speeches, press releases, video, seminars, conferences, media appearances, website and social media.

Foster open, thoughtful and informed discourse over critical issues of importance to our nation’s economic, social, moral, and religious fabric.
Encourage relevant scholarship and research.
Work to help depoliticize overarching issues of national interest and importance.
Work to find common ground among those who hold divergent views on issues of national interest and importance.
Identify and point out inconsistent positions, undisclosed agendas and approaches.
Bring insightful, scholarly, uncommon and new knowledge to ordinary citizens, enabling them to become more informed participants in the national debate.
Look for possible areas of reconciliation and establishment of mutual respect of divergent groups and individuals.
Support intellectual growth in the understanding of the conceptual foundations upon which opinions are formed.

*American Heritage Dictionary of the English language, an “intelligencer” is .. ‘one who conveys news or information’.
